Who is behind www.online-socks.com? Great that you found us! But it’s even better that you’ve come to this page to learn more about who www.online-socks.com really is.
Online-socks.com has existed since 1993 and was active for many years at markets and fairs throughout the Netherlands. You might still remember us from the Beverwijkse Bazaar, a yearly fair, or simply from the weekly market in your city. Founder Jack van den Berg started selling tennis socks on Queen’s Day in Amsterdam when he was just 18 years old. What started as a joke grew into a serious business with a love for legwear.
Since 2013, online-socks.com has also been active as an online store. The focus shifted from market sales to online sales as customer buying behavior changed. Personal contact remained important – only now through customer service instead of a chat at the market.
New owners, trusted quality
In 2024, online-socks.com was taken over by Rob and Sandra Smits from Deurne. With great enthusiasm, we continue the work of Jack and Jenny. What remains is our love for quality socks and satisfied customers. What changes is that we continuously work on an even better webshop and an even broader assortment.
Our mission is simple: good socks at a fair price, with customer service just like you were used to at the market – personal, helpful, and straightforward.

We believe in good products, a strong price-quality ratio, and service that truly helps you. Of course, sometimes things can go wrong, but then we make sure together that it gets resolved.
